Behavioral Health Support and Services
Since spring of the 2021-2022 school year, Lyle School has participated in a program to increase behavioral health services for our students. This program has been implemented at all schools throughout Klickitat County, and is funded and serviced through Beacon Health and ESD112.
The goals of the program are to help prevent and reduce emotional distress and increase access to counseling. To accomplish these goals, students will have the opportunity to participate in classroom discussions, small group, and/or individual meetings.
Marissa Johnson is our Mental Health Therapist. She's employed through ESD 112 and will be on the Lyle School District Campus three days a week.
Rita Pinchot is our Regional Behavioral Health Specialist. Rita holds a Masters of Social Work (MSW) and is a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP).
We are hopeful this program will show promising results and assist students with their educational goals. Lyle Schools Ho-Ho-Holiday Resources 2025
Lyle School District families looking for a little extra help with children’s gifts are supported through Community Partnerships that offer Giving Trees for community members to fulfill. Names are kept confidential. You will be called to the school to pick up your gifts the last two days before winter break, December 18th & 19th. The form also has a place to note if you'd like to receive a Lion's Club food box. You can complete the online form, linked below. There are copies of this form in the student office, which can be completed and turned back in, or emailed to support@lyleschools.org, by Tuesday, November 25th. Questions? WASHINGTON STATE HEALTHY YOUTH SURVEY 2025

Our school is participating in the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey during Fall 2025. This OPTIONAL survey will be given to students in grades 6-12 in small school districts. Parents and/or students may OPT OUT of the survey in its entirety, or, of any section of the survey.
The Healthy Youth Survey includes questions related to physical activity, unintentional and intentional injury, substance use, interpersonal relationships, school experiences, risk and protective factors, and access to school-based services. Survey results are used by schools, communities, and State agencies to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks.
Participation in the survey is voluntary, and steps are taken to ensure student privacy. There are no names or codes used to link a survey back to a student. Please see the Parent and Youth Information Letter for more information.
Students will be participating in the survey on Wednesday, October 29th.

Highly Capable Program
In accordance with state guidelines, Lyle School District students are referred, assessed, and identified for Highly Capable Services based on their demonstrated achievement or potential ability in terms of general intellectual ability, academic aptitude, and creative or productive thinking.
Parents, teachers, and community members are welcome to refer a student for the schools' Highly Capable Services.
